Christmas 2010


I’ve finally managed to get through all the images from Christmas!  Any longer and I would have to wait till next year to post it.

Christmas for our family is always about food and gatherings.  3 days are spent feasting and being together.  Christmas 2010 was the best I’ve experienced in a long time.  There wasn’t any stress, the food came out perfect and we drank and were merry.  The traditional turkey and stuffing was replaced with a selection of appetizers to start and a roast pork with all the trimmings for the main.  Dessert consisted of beautiful trifle and a mince meat tart with home made brandied custard.  The whole meal came together beautifully which could not have happened without a crew of family helping.

Smoked salmon with horseradish cream in a crispy wonton


Roast Pork, roast fennel gravy
Cannelini beans with roast garlic & rosemary
Roasted potatoes with green beans and bacon
Crunchy winter salad
Roasted squash with mint & chili


White chocolate meringue, raspberry trifle
Mince meat tart with brandied custard
